The EagleJazz & Blues Fest honors Boise native Rosalie Sorrels, a beloved voice in American folk and bluegrass. Known for her heartfelt storytelling, her songs reflect real lives, real places, and the enduring spirit of the West.

Like jazz, her music was rooted in authenticity, improvisation, and emotional connection—celebrating the shared spirit that unites folk, bluegrass, jazz, and blues.

Featuring a talented lineup of performers, Idaho Songbird is part of this year’s Grassroots and Grooves theme and offers a fresh, meaningful interpretation of her work.

From Boise to the broader American folk revival, her songs carried the spirit of this region outward—honest, unpolished, and deeply human.  She sang not to impress…but to connect.

Please join us at the Eagle Jazz & Blues Fest on September 18-19th.  You can find out more at www.eaglejazz.org.
